We are pleased to announce the kick-off of Providence leading CRC-P project “Using Artificial Intelligence and hydrogen to unleash the power of solar energy”. This project is a joint collaboration with UNSW, UTS & CSIRO and leading industry partners including Powerlink, SunGrow, Risen Energy and H2Store with more partners to join.

The project aims to solve problems that exist today and facilitate a transition towards a sustainable, reliable, secure and cost-effective energy sector. The project focuses on the following innovations:

  • Delivery of a truly sustainable and dispatchable energy integration solution
  • Development a cutting-edge AI-based asset management software
  • Accelerated commercialisation of new hydrogen technologies to store renewable energy, a world first!

This combined solution provides a unique opportunity to position Australia as a leader in solar technology. The core IP, potential patents, system design, control systems and related elements will be manufactured and owned in Australia.

Through student placements and the training of young researchers, this project will bring a skills uplift. We will share the research findings in the community, and the deliverables are applicable to all solar farms in Australia.
